A To Z Challenge: M Is For Monday, When It Should Have Been Friday
When it rains, it pours. And then you clean your gutters. Except my gutters are overflowing. I was supposed to do this letter of the alphabet last week, but just didn’t have the time to devote to it.
That’s me, standing in an elegant flowing gown in the middle of a deluge.
Which is a good thing (And yes, of course I wear elegant, flowing gowns all the time. Why do you ask?) and even a great thing. I have a lot of writing work to do. I have a lot of paid writing work to do.
The issue is that my hopeful eyes are bigger than my grey-ish mush of a mind. And certainly much bigger than the open space on my calendar each day.
Something’s got to give, and it’s going to be the blogs for a little while. I blog on multiple platforms, work a full-time job, and have primary custody of my kids. Free time is a cherished commodity and right now, I am sitting at DefCon 3 trying to get my obligations met.
This is the not-so-fun part of writing: discipline and prioritizing.
So for the near foreseeable future, I’ll be pushing out 3 posts a week instead of five. And they may be on the short side. I’m not apologizing, just telling it like it is.
And it is pouring, folks. I’d love to revel till I drown in it, but I have work to do.
