NaNoWriMo is in full swing and I got waylaid by an overnight trip to the hospital. It’s all okay now, just an overnight observation thing in the wake of a medication issue, but it’s been a few days now and I’m really having trouble getting back in the groove.
This is one of those times where you just have to take yourself firmly in hand and hammer it out. I know that. And I’ll get there. Continue reading “NaNoProcrastinator Extraordinaire – That’s Me!”
Wrote nearly 2200 words last night. Cat jumped on my keyboard. All was lost.
Save your work, kids. Don’t get so far into the zone that you don’t SAVE. YOUR. WORK.
This week has been a bit hectic, both at the day job and the run-up to NaNoWriMo and of course, Halloween. My neighborhood gets approximately eighty-thousand trick-or-treaters so it’s an event that must be planned for and executed.

I know, I know. I’m already a published author. Why NaNo?
Plenty of published authors do, actually. It’s a great way to stretch your writer brain and the camaraderie is amazing. And there’s this Chick-Lit project I’ve been pushing off for over a year now. This is the perfect opportunity to get a chunk of (or all of) that out of the way.
So yes, I’m doing the NaNo thang. And here’s my title (and since it’ll be Chick-Lit, it’s under the non-YA moniker this time):
You’re reading that right! Swoon Reads is expanding!! The go-to place for all things romantically YA is now the go-to place for ALL YA!!
Swoon is now accepting submissions in any category of the YA genre! Tell your friends! So pull that fabulous idea from your brain, smack it down on some paper, slap a gorgeous cover on it and submit!
And for all of you NaNoWriMo people who are gearing up for November – you should know that Traveler started out as a NaNoWriMo piece. And look at me now! My book will be on bookstore shelves in February – all because I held my breath and clicked on “submit.”
You can do this! You should do this!!
