Heir of the Otherworld
Over a thousand years ago, the Irish gods battled a fearsome enemy in their magical homeland, the Otherworld. The war ended in devastation, and the portal between the Otherworld and the human realm was sealed, leaving several gods trapped in the human world. Now seventeen year-old Rosaleen has gods and monsters to fight, a kingdom to liberate and a mother to please (she’s Morrigan, the goddess of death and battle so that’s not an easy thing). This is the challenge she was bred for and the last thing she needs is the ghost of a snarky Irish bard tagging along. She’s determined to use all her stealth and battle training to see the quest through, put her mother on the throne, and finally get herself a life—and maybe a solid Instagram following along with some friends with a pulse for a change.
But this quest is no stroll through the Otherworld—dangerous creatures and hidden enemies lurk around every turn of the road. When the release of an ancient weapon carries the battle into the human world, Rosaleen must stand as its guardian and assemble an army of humans and supernatural beings to fight the rising evil.
Praise for HEIR OF THE OTHERWORLD:
FIVE STAR REVIEW – “DeLano is a master of creating spiritual and human worlds. I enjoyed the Irish mythology, the coming-of-age themes, and the memorable cast of characters. Readers who enjoyed Julie Kagawa’s The Iron King will likely appreciate the mix of fae lore, modern sensibilities, and the strong young heroine trying to navigate two very different worlds.” – Demetria Head for Reader Views
“If you like the sound of epic stakes mixed with a sweet romance, Irish folklore, and hilarious modern references in a fantasy setting, I highly recommend giving this one a try!” – @deedeereads16, Instagram Book Reviewer
“This had found family (literally and figuratively), betrayals, battles, vengeance, and a very satisfying ending. I was not expecting most of the twists, and it was a rollicking good time. – @youarethelibrarian, Instagram Book Reviewer.
